Traded Music

LABEL OF THE WEEK #005

Traded Music was co-founded by music industry veterans and like-minded friends, Patrick Meeks and Lawrence Friend in 2020.

With over 30 years of experience in the industry between them, the pair decided to establish a label that would not only bring change to the industry and give back to the artist, but to bring their sound to the masses. They are quickly becoming known as the #LabelForTheArtist around the globe with an artist roster that is spread far and wide.

With stand out releases like Marx James & Lawrence Friend’s 'Trust The House', DJ Lora’s ‘Hey Mamacita’, Patrick Meeks’ 'So Low’ and Friend and Meeks own collaboration with Becky Summers ‘Bring Me Down.’ All have gained healthy airplay on the likes of BBC Radio One and Kiss FM as well as support from Claptone, Nicole Moudabar, Sam Divine and a host of others key DJs. Traded Music have become a regular feature in both the House and Tech House charts.

Having just celebrated their 2nd birthday with a sell out event in London featuring a full Traded Music line-up and with plans for future shows in the capital and more frequent releases, we're sure to see them become a firm favourite in the scene.

With lots of new music and artists scheduled for release this year, there is plenty to look forward to including Lawrence Friend with his first on the imprint of 2022 with his floor filler “Like Dis” dropping in April and which kickstarts the label’s re-branding.
